主讲人简介:

Nikolai Axmacher,德国波鸿鲁尔大学心理学部认知神经所神经心理系教授。在Science、PNAS、Nature Neurosciences、Trends in Cognitive Science、Trends in Neuroscience、Nature Communications、Current Biology、Elife、Neuron等权威期刊发表多篇学术论文。

Nikolai教授主要关注经验是如何在大脑中进行表征并转化为记忆的以及这些经验如何塑造我们的性格。

报告简介:

Memories of specific events are represented by distributed neural assemblies, or engrams. We propose that individual engrams consist of a multitude of representational formats that correspond to consecutive processing steps of these events. Reinstatement of engrams in different representational formats supports memory functions from short-term memory maintenance to long-term memory retrieval and memory consolidation. The presentation provides an overview about recent studies investigating the brain regions and oscillatory signatures that support reinstatement of engrams across representational formats. We also suggest that impairment of specific representational formats in neurological and psychiatric diseases can account for associated memory dysfunctions.
